Department of dermatology, infectious and parasitic diseases of the skin
The department conducts scientific work on:
– development of measures to increase the efficiency of diagnosis, prognosis of the course, treatment and prevention of arthropathy psoriasis;
– development of complex methods of treatment of acne with the consideration of detection of the leading pathogenetic link of the disease using new domestic means of external therapy;
– development of new complex therapies for patients with severe, widespread dermatoses, including psoriasis, eczema, allergic dermatitis;
– study of epidemiological features of the course of infectious diseases of the skin (mycoses ща smooth skin, scalp and nail, pyoderma, demodicosis, scab, pediculosis), development of methods for their therapy and prevention;
– grounding and development of external therapy methods using new ukrainian drugs.
The Department of Dermatology is the clinical base of the State Pharmacological Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, where clinical trials of domestic drugs are conducted both on systemic and external action. On the basis of the department, clinical studies are conducted from the GPC system. Scientific staff of the Department of Dermatology conducts advisory work on skin pathology on the basis of the clinic department of the institute. In the department of dermatology, clinical interns and postgraduates are trained.
